Mike Poulos is an Occupational Therapist, and a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1995 from Loma Linda University in Southern California with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. In 2000, he became Certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and was granted the title CHT.
Mike began his occupational therapy career in Sequim Washington in 1995. In late 1996, he moved to Seattle to work at Virginia Mason Medical Center to perform industrial rehabilitation and hand therapy services. In 1998, Mike made Bellingham home when he was hired by Peace Health to provide upper extremity rehabilitation services at the Medical Office Plaza. In January of 2002, Mike started Hand Therapy Incorporated. In 2010, the clinic was upgraded to its current location in downtown Bellingham.
In addition to being a CHT, Mike is also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS1). He is a member in good standing of The American Society of Hand Therapists, The American Occupational Therapy Association, and The National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapists.
When not in he office, you can find Mike with family and friends racing or cruising a sailboat.
